Friday September 25, 2015, 10:30AM FAB*-Lab meeting. Dan Greenberg will give an R workshop on "Phylogenetic Imputation". Here is the description: For many species we lack adequate natural history data due to their rarity in the wild, cryptic behavior, restricted geography or perhaps because they are now extinct. Modern statistical methods, as well as the widespread availability of comparative datasets and phylogenetic trees, gives us a strong basis to infer this missing information for data-poor species of scientific or conservation interest. This workshop will cover two methods to impute (estimate) missing data on traits (ecological, life history, behavior, etc.) for data-poor species using the packages 'missForest' and 'MPSEM' in R.

Part of our research is to investigate why different groups have different levels of trust and favouritism among their members. One important determinant of trust level in groups such as family, tribes and ethnic groups could be genetic relatedness. Using economic experiments, we will try to explore the effect of genetic relatedness on trust between individuals in some economic situations.
