Animals in the City, A. Balasescu
As built places for human habitation, cities are generally perceived as sites of production of culture, where nature has a limited, domesticated presence. Therefore, the animal and vegetal presence in the city is approached in terms of framing, use, function, regulation, or elimination. My proposition is to reflect on this relationship by exiting the binomial thinking of city and nature towards a rethinking of the city AS nature.
