    1) Report from Caty:
    - WICS available cash amount in Cash box is $40. ( It is not included Cat’s unpaid printing amount - $2.69)
    - WICS credit in the bank account is $2392.54 (without accounting Caty’s unsigned check)
    - Still we didn’t receive replies from Dave about the movie tickets.

    2) Database Workshop:
    - 18 people attended the workshop ( same number of boys and girls)
    - Photos will be on the website soon.
    - The workshop went very well.
    - We spent $12.69 for the workshop ( gift cards and the posters).

    3) Scholarship workshop:
    - It went very well.
    - Wendy said she enjoyed the presentation and she likes to encourage other students to ask advisors in Financial Aids office for more information.
    - Vivian sent out a follow up Email and she attached the presentation slides.
    - We spent $26.92 for this workshop ( gift, board updates, posters and snacks).

    4) The WICS social event:
    - Curling would not be possible as there is no place available. ( only one ring in Richmond has available time for Sunday)
    - The day is set to Friday Dec 4th, 6PM to 9PM.
    - The event would be Asian Karaoke at Mix2 Karaoke in Burnaby.
    - It will cost around $13 per person.
    - To have the exact number of attendees, RSVP is required in Facebook.

    5) Try/Catch:
    - The good news: TRY/CATCH has got the Systers Pass-it-on rewards for try/Catch. Thanks to Winona and Longlong.
    - We need to Email CSIL helpdesk to book room and required facilities.
    - The logo and poster are ready.
    - Daniela helped us and reviewed the sponsorship proposal. She also helped us to advertise to high schools and potential sponsors.
    - Liyang and her teammates are working on the website. it will be on http://trycatch.cmpt.sfu.ca
    - Shannon is working on the sponsorship specification and everything is going well.
    - We will try to send out sponsorship package in December.
    - Vivian has tried to apply for Google Rise price, but it needs a letter from Dean of CS department. We need to contact Rob Cameron for this letter.
    - This year’s Google RISE is still for US universities only. We will try to see if it can be extended to Canada.

    6) SCWIST Brown bags:
    - It is a technical meeting that should be held every month.
    - There should be technical topic that everyone will talk about it and attendees will exchange ideas and discuss about the given topic.
    - A summary of discussions then will be send to the organization.
    - We need more volunteers for organizing the meetings.
    - Jiahui signed up for the moderator position.

    7) Guest from Zhejiang University:
    - Amy was our guest from Zhejiang University in the meeting.
    - She has Ph.d. in Artificial Intelligence.
    - She had researches in matching learning and pattern recognition.
    - Now she is working in National Science Foundation Project.
    - She teaches Object Oriented programming and Software Engineering in Zhejiang University.
    - She believes that WICS is a cool name and it is a great community to talk about new technologies.
    - She likes to suggest having WICS in the Zhejiang university students.
    - She talked about women situation at work in China.

    8 ) One Moment of Silence: Resisting Violence
    - This event is in memorial of 14 women that were gunned down in their university in Montreal.
    - It will be held by TSSU on Monday December 7th, 4:30 PM at AQ Bridge.

    9) Lunch with women in Psychology:
    - There is a lunch event in downtown with women in psychology.
    - It would be on December 3rd and everyone can attend.
