Enhancing WICS
As discussed in the previous meetings, WICS execs think that for involving more people in WICS we should add more positions in WICS executives. Ideas for the new WICS position included graduate event coordinator and vice president.
The description of the roles to be added are as follows:
Graduate Coordinator (An EXEC Role):
1. Help promote and announce the events for graduate students like CRA-W Grad Cohort.
2. Have updates from SCWIST.
3. Communicate events of interest in WICS@SFU for graduate students
4. Enhance the communication between graduate and undergraduate students
Promotions Coordinator (A Volunteer Role):
1. Create posters for events
2. Create logo, graphics,… needed for WICS events
3. Print and post such posters for the events
4. Promote WICS and try to involve more people in WICS
Since the number of people in this meeting was not enough to meet the constitution rules for making amendments in the constitution, and it has been the same problem in the last two meetings, WICS decided to have the vote as an online survey, only available for those WICS members who attended the WICS biweekly meetings at least TWICE during last year(Since September 2009). Attendees listed in meeting minutes will be used as a reference for web-survey authentication.
