Feedback from Surrey open house(May 28, 2011):
Date: May 28th, 2011
Volunteer: Pariya, Naghmeh, Ouldooz
Jasleen: For the open house, she felt it would be nice if we could have a more visible place for our table. She believed WICS booth would attract more people if we were not located inside a room. This is true for all FAS and SFU CS activities that were within the same room. However, other than that, she said the club day overall went well for WICS.
Ouldooz’s suggestions: For the next year, we could showcase some of WICS member’s project.

Mentor Lunch
Mentor: Funda will be on a trip and is busy before the trip. We decided to ask Eugenia Ternovska for our Mentor Lunch.

Technical Workshop
Topic: Mobile Platform
Date:. We postponed the workshop for a better timing for the volunteers. Most member prefer to have the workshop at early June or early July to avoid the exams.For now, we decided to have the event on June 14 th, 2011(Tuesday)
Time: 3 hours workshop with 10 minutes break in the middle.
Presenter: Maryam Hamidirad, Derek Sheh
Volunteer: Maryam Hamidirad, Derek Sheh-WICS will give out a a prove of participation for those who completed the workshop.
- Maryam volunteered to teach both sessions.
- We will have a hands-on experience

Proposed: movie night (Friday, July 29, 2011)
Movie: (We will try to find a movie that has not been seen by anyone in WICS)
About:Most members wanted to have regular social (such as movie night, TED talk and discussion) on the Burnaby campus.

Misc: Ouldooz applied for $500 budget Star Alliance Seed Funding (for a networking event with potential guests around 200)
