    Technical Workshop : Mobile Application Development

    WICS is having a Technical Workshop on Thursday, November 17, 2011, from 1:00-2:30pm in CSIL 9840. Join us for a free session on mobile operating systems and application development, presented by Evgeny Vinnik from SFU! Both genders are welcome.

    Due to technical issues, there is no guarantee that the development programs will be available on the CSIL computers. Therefore, to fully enjoy the workshop, it is advised that you bring a laptop with the following programs installed and ready to use before the workshop. If you cannot bring a laptop, you are still fully welcome to attend, just note that you may not be able participate hands-on.

    Grace Hopper Conference 2011 Information Session

    Hello all,

    The Grace Hopper Celebration is one of the largest conference in the world for women in the field of science & technology. Every year, women come all over the world meet together to learn and to discuss the latest technology/skills/researches.

    WICS will be holding an information session about the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing this Friday. In this session, you’ll learn more about the GHC and how to apply for the school scholarship.We will also help you to coordinate and plan for your trip if you have already decided to attend the conference.

    * Snacks and drinks will be served during the session!!
